Walls and mirror
The walls are now completely finished!, YAY! The two opposite walls are stripped and then the other two walls are solid blue and green. The same colors as the stripes. It took a little while to get it finished but now it's all done! Finally!
I recently bought a snoopy wall decal off of etsy. Trying to figure out where to put it was a pain. I didn't want to put it on the wall because when we move I would like to keep snoopy.
A trip to the dollar store and I found something that would work to put snoopy on. I bought a $1 mirror and came home and applied the snoopy decal. Now I have a cute snoopy mirror!

Kids room mobile
So I was bored one day and decided to play around and make a mobile. I used a wire hanger and bent it into the shape of a circle then wrapped it in fabric. I used ribbon to make the "spokes" to be able to hang it. I then added more fabric on the top along with a bow. I found a video on youtube for the origami balls. They are actually called Origami Cuboctahedron and here is a link to the video on how to make it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm2JEhBvxCg&feature=channel. I assembled it a bit different than how the video shows but it's still kind of cool. Sorry the first picture is kind of dark.

Mod Podge and other crafts.
Since I painted the walls in the bedroom blue and green striped I have been obsessed with getting something up on the walls. It makes it feel more like a home instead of just a place you rest your head. I am still in the process of painting the room :) I am going to paint the two walls with stripes and the other two walls solid colors. So far two walls are complete!
I have seen alot of people who have made cute projects with mod podge, so I thought I would give it a try. I recently bought some wooden letter from the craft store and painted them white. I was discouraged of the selection of scrap-booking paper they had available since I was going to mod podge the front of the letters with the paper. I was looking more for some cute boy paper which they didn't seem to have much variety. I eventually made up my mind and picked out the paper.
I got home and was so excited to start the letters among the other crafts I had purchased. I turned over the letters and traced them on the paper. Then cut out the paper and brushed mod podge onto the letters, stuck the paper on and mod podged over the top. I used my fingers to kind of smooth out any bubbles. It was much easier to use my hands to apply the paper even though it was a little messy but of course it is washable.
I was hoping the letters would stand on their own so I could display them on a shelf but unfortunately they did not want to stand on their own. So I got some little glass pebbles and hot glued them to the bottom of each letter and ta-da they are standing.
I added some cars on the shelf as well and her are the wooden puzzles that took me FOREVER to put together but they are so COOL! I should have painted the fish before I put it together but too late. Not sure I like the colors I chose for the dragon but it works. There is also a picture of the dragon before I painted it. I have changed some of the colors on the dragon and don't have a recent pic of it. The yellow is now blue and the red feet are yellow.
